Hatch Cottage

A couple of years ago, on our Cape Cod vacation, I dragged everyone off the beaten path to find Hatch Cottage in Wellfleet. Designed by architect John Hall, it was built in 1961 (along with over 100 other modest homes), during a period when the Cape was seen as a mecca for modernism and was heavily influenced by the Bauhaus movement. This house in particular sits up on the National Seashore with expansive views of Cape Cod Bay, all the way back to Provincetown. Been dreaming of this escape with all the stay-at-home orders!
